I can't believe I haven't written a review yet for my lovely Sampino's! This spot is practically a historical landmark in Sac. The moment you walk into Sampinos, you're transported back in time to an old school Italian deli. It's looked the same for years. Not only is the food delicious (sandwiches and deli items alike), but the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend the Italian veggie sandwich, which comes with eggplant, zucchini, lettuce, tomato and I choose the goat cheese version. So delicious! My mom and I always have our lunch dates here and she opts for the reuben. If you like sauerkraut and marble rye, you'll love it. 10/10 would recommend for must stop when in Sac! Ps. Hours are mostly morning to early afternoon. And don't forget cash! It's preferred.

My boyfriend and I recently moved super close to this spot, but didn't know it existed until a coworker recommended it to us. The staff were all super nice (I only got the name of Andria, but she was very kind! I'm Autistic and tend to ask a lot of questions in places I haven't tried before because I'm really curious about things, and she answered everything and even let me try one of the olives I had never seen before and told me how they were made! She also recommended stuff to us from the menu for next time. An older man was super sweet and took our sandwich order, and two other employees were making sandwiches while we were in and they both made sure we'd ordered and were helped. Everyone was just so nice, the atmosphere is very chill and comfortable, and the food was INCREDIBLE! We got the Reuben (my favorite kind, I order it everywhere I try new!), and my bf got the chicken parmesan (which was the sandwich the coworker mentioned) -- both super delicious, very large and filling! Also got a lemon bar and it was good, too! Very happy with our first visit and will absolutely be back to try more of the menu. I wish they had a stamp card or something so we could check off everything we try, haha!

Le Rustique: sliced prosciutto, melted Brie, tomato, garlic aioli, hint of Tabasco, balsamic vinaigrette on a ciabatta roll. This sandwich reminded me of taking a bite of a charcuterie board! I think all the flavors and components of the sandwich paired very well together. I wasn't a big fan of the bread, it tasted a little dry/stale and wish it was a little of the softer side. Overall a decent sandwich.

Great sandwiches. Comes with a side salad. Place a sandwich order ONLY on one side of the restaurant then pay at the counter (at this point is where you can add-on items like chips, items from the deli case etc.). Recommend: Bill's homemade meatloaf sandwich Flick sandwich (mortadella) Sampanini sandwich (cold cuts - mortadella, cappacolla, salami) Short open hours so we like to order online for pickup during a work week lunch. Note there is a convenience fee ($1) when you order online (you could phone in a order too). Good amount of seating in/out. Should be able to find parking as well.

Don't walk...run to Sampino's & try their meatball sandwich!!...or not..more for me! So I normally don't crave meatball sandwiches but the pics for this one looks really good & all the flavors listed made me want to try it & boyyyy am I glad I did. This was by far hands down the best meatballs sandwich I've ever had and probably will have! It's a small place but they have room off to the side to sit and enjoy your lunch! Staff were really nice and helpful & had our order ready to go! (Phone order) oh & don't forget to stop at the cold display and grab a few extra treats!! They also have a bunch of small Italian treats at the front counter! This little gem is my new go to when I'm craving a nice homestyle sandwich. Thanks again Sampino's!!

Love this Italian deli. They have great sandwiches made to order that are legit east coast style. I have even gotten a cheese sammy there which seems to confuse people when I ask. But it's an east coast thing and has always been my favorite deli sandwich. The cheese was sliced perfectly thin and the roll was super fresh. My hubby likes the meatball and chicken parm sandwiches too. We also get raviolis bc they are perfect for dinner. And we've tried some of their other take away items like eggplant parm, cannolis, and tiramisu. It's all good. Can't go wrong. Order at the counter or preorder for pick up. Service is friendly. You can even eat at a table inside or outside if you don't want to do take away.

If you're looking for a solid Italian sandwich spot in town, this spot is on the list. Came through recently since we were in the area, and I forgot how good these sandwiches are. They have a large menu so everyone should find something they like and the staff was nice and helpful. You can buy everything here from entrees to meats and bread to take home with you as well. The space has an old Italian deli feel with enough space to sit down to eat. They do have a working piano in there, so you might get some entertainment as well. One of the most popular sandwiches is the sampanini, mortadella, salami, cheddar, and provolone with all the fixings on a ciabatta roll make this a classic. The meatball and chicken parm are also a hit as every other person was getting one of these. They also give you a little side salad with each sandwich, which is a great touch. My favorite is the hot pastrami. This had swiss and jack cheese and all the fixings like most of their sandwiches, but the best part of this one is the pancetta. It was slightly crispy, so it added flavor and texture. Definitely would get it again, and with so many options, you can have a new favorite every time you come here. I recommend the unique kettle chips they sell here as they are not everywhere, and there is an everything flavor that was pretty good. I will definitely be back next time I need a solid Italian sando!

This place is really cute. I ordered the meatball sandwich. It was seasoned very well and had great flavor. I also ordered a pistachio cannoli, it was just okay, definitely had better. It didn't taste fresh, so I didn't finish it. The staff was pleasant I would love to return and try some other items.
